My RM200 Book Voucher

Once in a while, I crave to be left alone with my thoughts.

This day has come and I have decided to spend the day at second favourite place in the world – Kinokuniya. (Well, the first of course is my room)

So conveniently government has decided to give each student RM200 book voucher, I know this trip to Kinokuniya is gonna be fruitful, whether I have spent all my angpau money or not.

After strolling for what’s like 4 hours, I have decided on 3 books.

First, which I have already been dreaming to buy for the past few weeks, ever since my semester one exam, is Sketching Interiors. I know how this sounds weird for a business student to buy. But I have grown a liking in designing interiors ever since I start dreaming about my future house. And after being frustrated at not being able to put the my imagination into words, I decided to learn some interior sketching skills.

Second, a vintage version of Wuthering Heights! What I am exactly excited for is not entirely the story though, it’s the cover! the pages! the fonts! They are just so pretty. (: There are few classics I’ve concluded must read for everyone once in a lifetime. Wuthering Heights is one of them. Pride and Prejudice is another.

Third, I have thought this hard. I first discovered it from Kinokuniya website’s What’s New section and was drawn attention to the beautiful, vintagy cover with the pink letter of One Day. I searched it on amazon.com. Read the first page. And decided that I like this book. Only then I realized people are making this into a movie. This does not please me much. The fact that the book is making into movie means it’s too popular. As popular as it would be, everyone will be reading it. I really don’t want to read something that everyone’s reading. (though that happens very too often. Like, Harry Potter) But seeing my balance of my book voucher is around RM35. I bought it. Another reason is that I cannot resist the cover!

So I really do judge a book by its cover, don’t i? *sigh*

Christmas is finally here! One thing Christmas reminds me of is gifts!

I like receiving gift so much so that I demanded present from parents when I was a child. Gift-giving never was not a tradition in my family, my brother never thought that we should receive gifts on birthday or Christmas. Only until he saw me demanding presents on my birthday then he started to follow suit, so he always ended up receiving his birthday (June) present on my birthday (September). Haha

When ACE presented the idea of giving orphans their choices of Christmas presents, it really strikes me as they chose to put the orphans’ wishes before our own convenient.

So I decided to pick something from my own stash to give away.

And I have chosen the Bear.

I never was a big fan for soft toys, but somehow this bear (left) has been with me for more than 4 years?

It sadly does not have a name, I just simply call it “Bear”, which is basically the name of every teddy bear exists in this world.

I would say I love this nameless bear more than Duffy. But Duffy was a gift, I couldn’t just give it away. The nameless bear, however, has a personal story behind.

I bought this bear when I was 16, on a KK trip with friends. The reason why this bear appealed to me is because it somehow looks like a guy I had a crush on. (It sounded really silly, pardon me, I was only 16!)

Ended was the story a hell long time ago.

It was my iPhone holder whenever I watch PPS before sleeping.

Now it is time to give it away, to let it be in somebody’s arms, where the new story shall begins.

I do not remember exactly how I stumbled on Lomography, vague memories tell me it definitely involves a lot of Googling. But I know the Loving Vintage part of myself will eventually bring me to it, somehow.

Stuck in Semenyih as a Nottingham students, the shopaholic me has given up taking KTM to shopping malls. And have kept myself alive with other entertainment alternatives.

And one of them, is definitely bringing my Lomo camera out!

Knowing how to walk to and fro campus is one of our skills to survival as a Nottingham students.

I have always hated to walk, alone, under a hot sun, for bloody 20 minutes to campus. But walking the very route with a Lomo camera, it makes every steps magical (:

It is now my happiest moment.

You will never know which picture you took will turn out to be one of your favourites, you will never know what colour the sky will turn out to be this time. That’s what I love of about films, you will always surprise yourself.

I don’t usually talk about what movie I’ve watched over the weekends, except the very occasionally one which was made based on a book, Norwegian Wood. This, is worth talking about, because it is based on a book too. And was directed by the very author himself.

那些年，我们一起追的女孩。

The big thing about having it directed by the author of the book is that the movie will generate the same feelings as the book does, which is very rare for a book-turned-movie. Even Harry Potter movies could not.

I’ve bought the book long time ago. It was the only book I bought without doing research and reading reviews on it first. Because it is written by Giddens, so I knew it would be good, just like the 2 books I’ve read. And one of them is my all time favourite, which I guess I’ve read it for like 78 times. (maybe more?)

Now that my boxes (yes, I don’t have a shelf in Semenyih) are too full with books, I’ve stopped myself from buying paper-made book. But I want to keep reading Giddens. How?

I never wanted this blog to be a place to rant, or to complain, or to backstab. The reason I have started this blog in the first place and have put effort into making it alive is so that when I look back at my 20s, there are good things to be remembered, to feel nostalgia for.

So close friends are alternative destinations for me to rant, to shout, ~~to swear.~~ (: because it is the only place where I will not be judged.

Lately, I just want to quit. With things, with school. I don’t know why have I put myself through all these nonsense. But I’m already in the nonsense. All I can do is the be a grown up and eat up the shit.

But that does not mean you have to eat shit sulking. There’s always something to cheer yourself up.

The long awaits second year is finally here!

Was so excited for school to start, but now that it is here, I’m not so sure anymore.

Hmmm….

Come and think of it, life being a fei chai was actually not bad. You don’t need to worry about deadlines, notes, bus being on time or not, meetings.. The only thing that might need worrying is ‘what drama should I watch next?’ and ‘how much weight I’ve gained after the amazing feast last night?’

But being a second year student does sound quite cool.

Here’s my new sem resolution ~~I know I couldn’t keep~~:

1. Spend at least 2 hours revising the lectures attended everyday.

2. Do a good job in YJCI yet still maintain my grades.

3. Exercise at least 3 times a week.

4. Lose some weight.

5. Must keep room tidy ALL THE TIME. d:

6. Stop buying useless stuff.

7. Must attend all lectures even if the lectures are useless.

8. Lose more weight.

9. Must at least stay awake for all lectures!!!

The Awkward 3

I always plan outings with even number of people, like 2, 4 6, 8. Avoiding the odd number (Especially the 3!) with the best I can as I do not want anyone in the group feel isolated or boring, especially during long outings in KL.

Everyone is even numbered group can always have a companion when we were walking in shopping malls (it’s funny to have 3 people walk in a horizontal line), eating in restaurant (no one have to sit alone), even taking bus. No one has a chance to be left behind/isolated/feel boring/etc.

But with your close friends around, you won’t care if is it 3 or not 3. We soon grew a liking of the being 3 when we started craving for Dim Sum, because Dim Sum always served with 3 biji, just ngam ngam for us!

Japanese food is no-no for us because Sushi served in 2 biji. There is always another one who cannot try the certain sushi. Then we have to order another plate for the person who still insist on trying it, which usually is me. Heh heh

Now when they were talking and ignoring me, I will just go, “Ui, listen to me eh.”

JinYie can say, “I dreamt of eating burger, it was so damn nice!” Then off we drove to KFC.

I can say, “I don’t wanna sleep in my room tonight ):” Then we spent the night in JinYie’s living room with Charmen risking being scolded by parents.

Charmen can say, “Eat Hakka Choi la.” Then we ended up eating Bah Kut Teh. hahaha.. Because JY and I both agree Hakka Choi is just meh. We eat Hakka Choi everyday at home!

Finally a somewhat zen-like trip. (:

This trip was organized by church members, but it was not a church event. So no workshop, just pure relax.

As much as I love the resort room, we spent some time figuring out how the things work. Like, when you first see the slot among the switches, your first instinct will tell you to put the card into it.

But instead, you need to put the key into it.

Then we spent like 15 mins to figure out how the water heater works. Haih

The only highlight of the trip is we rode on boats in Sungai Kinabatangan to search monkey, elephant and crocodiles.

Being a Malaysian, rather a Sandakanian, except a close look of crocodiles, others did not excite me at all. Proboscis Monkey? Orang Utan? Elephant? Meh, we’ve seen it all!

Oh wait, we’ve seen any size of crocodiles as well! (Even baby crocodiles!) We have a freaking Crocodile Farm here. But the sight of wild crocodile in a river, swimming beside me, still excites me!

But crocodiles did not appear. Only monkeys and monkeys.

So I found my own amusement in spotting cute ang moh. =D

Totally underestimated my Lumix. Only try how its zoom after the boat stopped for too long for us to spot the animals among infinitely trees. It works pretty good. (:

This tree reminded me of Madagascar!

And the night was spent with Jane Austen and Louis Armstrong. (:

KK Trip

Finally, some vacation during summer break!

This trip was planned spontaneously. I stumbled on the 10 cents flight when I was booking my September flight back to KL. So off we went to KK!

First Day

We stayed in Imperial International Hotel, which located inside Warisan Square building itself, which is generally good, except their breakfast buffet is terrible.

Spacious.

Add on little red couch.

First dinner: Fish & Co.

This is somehow our favourite restaurant in KK.

Too hungry that the next moment we took out our cameras was when desserts were served.

JinYie complaint that her head looked bigger beside mine. So the second picture was taken.

Second Day: One Borneo!

Initially, I was planning this trip to be more a environment trip where we shall visit some places more zen-like, surrounded by nature. We even planned an island trip, to experience a real summer in bikini. (As if Sandakan is not hot enough…)

Us being us, we still ended up in shopping malls. Lol

Forced JinYie to take the picture (on the left) for me because I reckoned it was my good hair day. heh heh

Lunch: New York New York.

Now this is our favourite restaurant! The food is good. Price reasonable too.

Stef said I have many expressions, because I watched too much of Anime, particularly Lovely Complex. lol

JinYie being the Mushroom Cream Soup expert claims that their soup is the most most most awesome. (Look at her face.) She basically has tried all the mushroom soup in the restaurant she ever went, so believe her!

Charmen is more like the Fish&Chips expert. I guess?

Stef is of course a pork expert. It does not take a close friend to know that.

I’m.. err.. I used to be Kuew Teow Soup expert before I went KL to study. I compared every Kuew Teow Soup in every restaurant I went. But now, I’m not so sure. Hmm.. maybe black pepper lamb shoulder?

Third Day: Suria Sabah

Suria Sabah is kinda boring. Except they have a BIG stand-alone Carlorino retail store! Even 1Borneo doesn’t have a complete retail store, only a station in Parkson with old stock.

JinYie and I both bought the same bag. Hers a bigger version, and mine smaller. (:

Lunch: Shabu Shabu.

The food was so-so. Definitely did not worth RM40.

..and our record of trip stopped here. No idea since when and why we stopped having urges to take pictures. haha

All I know is that I went home with 12 kg luggage stuffed full with my shopping haul.

A Waste of Summer.

This is a really a waste of summer. I didn’t achieve anything at all. Earned only RM25 throughout this 4 month, haven’t finish Pride and Prejudice, haven’t start Emma and Jane Erye as planned.

Totally not a fulfilling summer!

All I have been doing is wake up at about 11am, re-watch Criminal Minds again, lunch, take nap at 4pm, online a bit, dinner, read a bit, sleep.

I feel like I’m wasting my life here. I’m the most useless person in the whole world!

Feel so guilty to still taking pocket money at this stage.

Where Mistakes Are… Mistakes.

“Where Mistakes Are Made Gorgeous” was a title I planned for a blog post of introducing my new hobby of taking pictures, with films – Lomography, when I shall get my first developed first roll of film. Took by a Diana.

I was so exciting to collect my developed film, I was hoping to see the lomo “wow” in them.

“Wow” did happen.

Because it turned out to be, nothing.

Yeah, you heard me right. Freaking NOTHING!

See? Pathetic!

They are all out of focus, out of frame, underexposed.

Lesson from Film 1: Viewfinders are useless.

I didn’t know how to react if my second roll of film came out to be nothing too. I don’t know if I can take it. I don’t know if I should load the third film again……

Second roll came out.

It turns out to be okay, I guess. Only 6 pictures are visible, 2 pictures have merely pass. I am so ashamed of myself. I spend more than RM100 for these 2 merely passed pictures.

I.am.so.noob.

Lesson from film 2: Take pictures outdoor. Even when you are using an ISO 800 film. Or use a flash in indoor.

Since there were still passed pictures, I loaded the third film.

My third roll of film is disappointing too, everything is underexposed. I took those on a cloudy evening outdoor. I adjusted the aperture right. And I used a bloody ISO 800 film!

It should be okay what! ….But it wasn’t.They are all underexposed.

Still okay la, compared to Film 1.

One of the pictures I really like is this.

Ta-Da! It is very lomo-like! I took it during sunset and the sky turned out purple on film! Interesting.

Lesson of Film 3: Shoot on a VERY sunny day.

Then I figured a Diana which can only take 12 or 16 pictures is very expensive to use. Because for price at around RM20 to buy a 120mm film, you can buy a 35mm film which can take 36 pictures. And the development fee is same for both type of film.

So I bought a pink Holga from rofl.blogspot.com. They are the only website who has a pink Holga!

The first film I loaded was Agfa CT100 Precisa.

Inspired by Danbo. (:

This yellow thingy is named Danzo, because I mistaken Danbo for Danzo. (I just finished watching the few Naruto episodes with Danzou.) So I just named it Danzo.

Holga is a lot better and easier than a Diana.

But it might be also because i have learnt my lesson through the three first films from Diana. It was an ISO 100 film, so I use flash all the time to ensure all the pictures are at least visible.

Second film I loaded EliteChrome.

*Smile* At least they are not trash anymore. lol

But there is still no “wow” in it. Working hard on that.

Virgo Not Good

I didn’t believe in horoscope at first (actually I shouldn’t believe it now) because I think people just describe every horoscopes with common features that everyone shares. Like, you always show your happy face when you actually feeling sad. I mean, who doesn’t?

But when I really look into horoscopes, I learn the obvious characteristics of each horoscopes. It is not 100% accurate, but they have some resemblances in all of them.

(Of course I don’t believe in those Daily Horoscope prediction of your life crap. )

Like, how Virgos are always attracted to Leos. And how Leos demand for attention. And how Gemini can get over a breakup faster.

I’m a Virgo, and I definitely have the typical Virgo characteristics of noticing the insignificance, worrying too much, undecided, …

Whether we want to or not, we tend to be aware of every glance, every gesture, every single word, people might or might not intended. We will spend the nightsss thinking what did the glance mean? Why did he/she smirk at me this way? (which might be just a smile) Have I done anything wrong? It goes on.

Argh! Being a Virgo is never easy when you are born to remember all those tinyyy details.

And you do not need to find ways to make a Virgo feels guilty when you are angry, because we always do. We always find faults in ourselves, even when there is none. Which kinda explain why we are perfectionists. It doesn’t mean that we are perfect in any way. We see faults in everything so we want to perfect everything, because whatever in our eyes, is never perfect.

It’s our nature. ;(

Seem like the only things I can talk about is exam periods and shopping trips, eh? My life is that boring. Sorry la.

Exam will always come, whether you have study mood or not. This sem in particular, I do not have the passion to do best like I used to be (ok la, in foundation and sem1 only, and maybe primary school). Been dreaming about summer break and making listssss of what I want to do.

Finally feeling alive after weeks of sulking in Sandakan with no nice shopping trips. This trip to Midvalley is not easy to come by though, we spent days dok-ing the time to suit both of our schedules.

Yay! Midvalley! (Pavilion is our first choice though )

It’s December already! It has been 3 months since i moved here, it was like yesterday i just moved here with a mountain (or mountains. Lol) of things.

I can’t believe where i am right now.

I am in Nottingham University! Not literally, of course. Currently living with Stef at Sunway Semenyih.

It’s really a horror to have to pack ALL the stuff in your room into boxes and plastic bags to travel for 46km in a bloody small taxi.

All my stuff ready to be moved. And i dragged Charmen to take this picture because my face was swollen after a sleepless night.

I can’t believe i’m saying this, but i actually felt so sad to leave, to leave a oh so comfortable place; fully-funded UK degree at Segi, 20-minutes away from KLCC, Charmen in the house. But this is what i chose and i am not looking back, anymore.

I’ve come to this decision after so many prayers and God gave me a yes. I really want to believe this is God’s decision, not mine. However, things did not went so smooth on the very day i was moving out. Still, i believe God’s in charge, and there’s nothing i should worry about because faith is not only believe when everything are fine, but to believe even when everything is wrong in your eyes.

Here i am now, reading Vivi with Stef and laughing at every little things.

Since all of us are so bored during our holiday, we decided to go somewhere further, somewhere we do not go often to waste our time - Reggae, a restaurant near China Town.

I was quite impressed by the decoration of the restaurant and was pleased that there were only few customers there, so we can laugh and talk loudly all we want.

And have the pool for ourselves too. RM3 for a game.

The food was okay, not awesome.

This happens when you are the only one who bring camera – you can never find a photo of yourself. (And it’s kinda embarrass to keep camwhoring yourself in a restaurant.)

I remember i cried and told my father that i wanted to leave Segi College the very first day i stepped into it. Yes, i hated it there. I guess the reason that i have survived there for a year is mainly because of my friends – Iris.

Iris, is what we called ourselves. It is initially the group name we had for our Quantitative Method class work. Rowena gave us the group name when Iris the drama which she likes it so much was just aired. Well, i think she basically like everything of Korea, so does Irah.

Me and Alia, however, are more to Japan. This great combination of us has made sure that none of us is being left out. :)

And also because of them, i get to know more about Korea, like why the girlfriend calls her boyfriend “Oppah” (means brother) and how to wear the Hanbok, or the existence of the Korean Town in Malaysia, and many more.

Though i am no fan of Korea, but the exploration into the Korean world has brought me a lot of fun.

As you may see from the pictures. We are of different races: two Malays, one Philipina and one Chinese. The only language that we can speak to each other is English. And through the countless conversations we had throughout the year,my verbal English is improved a lot. Thank you :)

Though we may have different skin colours and have different religions, but i am so glad that never did once we argue about religion- and race-related things and i have learned a lot about Islam and Catholic. We know how to respect and when to stop the sensitive conversation. And i just love them so much for this.

In fact, we hardly even argue. Well, only once, when i got angry about them being late. (Sorry!) They are forgiving too, and has made the trip of the day an enjoyable one.

I will never forget how Irah has always posed behind me when i was camwhoring. I will never forget how Alia has always half-closed her eyes when we were taking pictures. I will never forget how Rowena will get crazy together with me while shopping. I definitely will never forget how we sang A Whole New World over and over again in Neways. :)

Thank you, Rowena, for being such a good friend to me and accompany me when i have nobody. Thank you, Alia, for being so thoughtful and listen to my whines with a smile on your face and with no complaints. Thank you, Irah, for all the laughter and joy you have brought to us.

I will miss you all. :) I thanked God for having you all as my friends.

Final exam is finally over. Waiting upon my first day of exam was like waiting for Judgment Day. These papers decide how my cpga for foundation would be. I didn’t feel relieved at all when my last paper was collected, i knew i didn’t give my best. But, whatever la!

Now that final exam is over, my days are mostly about waking up at 1pm and watching Eyeshield 21, Gundam, Naruto, NatsuNiji, anything to do with Arashi, .. you name it. And of course, outings with friends, especially with IRIS.

We went bowling, which was Rowena’s and my first time of playing it. Rowena went on and gained few strikes while my marks was the least of us four. Lol

And we also went swimming at Alia’s new apartment. We laughed so hard until the uncle who was initially in the pool get annoyed and leave. Haha

And of course outing with Louis before he returns to Sandakan.

So, i reckon that i cannot concentrate on my Econs notes because i have a lot in my mind and i decided to clear them off today.

Some hair products, i was so obsessed about improving my wire-like hair the moment my Sereni&Shentel parcel has arrived. Foods, which are so necessary for overnight study, and durian which i have hungry for for weeks but didn't stuff myself with it because durian here are so expensive for a Sandakanian like me who grow up eating durian for free.

Cardigan, which is.. erm, not necessary for study though i definitely need cardigans for the chilly exam room. Aww..i love Romp cardigan so much, though the quality is not as good as MNG's but they're cheap, so you can't just throw them away without heartache when they are ruined. And Vivi magazine of course, it is something to keep you alive.

I love shopping before exam, because you can always give yourself reasons to buy something. "If i buy this cardigan, i promised i will study until 6am." or "If i buy this pack of durian, i will not sleep for 3 days!"

And with reasons for your dad to bank in more money for you because "i have to study until late late, need to eat a lot for concentration. Haih... I'm so cham." Haha

God, i love exam. :)

Again, having friends who crazy about korean stuff means you will get to do something you don’t really want to.

Final exam is arriving in a fast pace but whatever la! We still wanna play! It’s actually one of the preparations. How is it so? Well, i usually spend some money and play like crazy before exam, so i will feel guilty and start revising and this magically works! So, you see. I am not abandoning my study to play what. It’s a step of exam preparation, dear. A step.

So off we went to Korean Plaza to try out the Handbook.

After an hour of laughing and pressing the shutter button, we figured it’s time to stop disturbing the sweet girl who was the plaza assistant? Dunno what’s her position la. Woohoo! My laptop is finally back.

God, i really miss my laptop. I even have a list of what to do after i got it back. Oh, by the way, my laptop got some screen problem, so i sent it to some shop to fix.

After using Charmen's Dell Studio 15 for about a month, i've realized my laptop is actually so small! Keyboard small, screen small, mouse small, everything small. Now i can't even type fast without making a typo. :(

And i've also realized that having a laptop which enable you to lock the sensor pad is actually so heng fuk. I had almost thrown Charmen's Dell out the window when i was writing my Econs essay.

And, bigger laptops can definitely run faster than smaller ones. :)

Having friends who are crazy about korean stuff definitely has its advantage - you are being fed about korean stuff even you don't really want to.

After English presentation, Rowena and i felt it was too boring to go home straight, so off we go to Korean Town with Irah and friends.

The Korean Town located somewhere at Ampang, opposite Ampang Point Shopping Mall. It is just like a mini Korea and they basically have almost everything : Korean coke, Korean guys, Korean Union Juice, Korean conteng on table and all. You can go there if you're a Korean fans too, maybe can pick up some cute Korean guys there. hoho

Except Korean clothing shop, Korean handicraft shop, Korean bookstore, Korean coffee shop which i had expected. Okay, they don't have everything.

Us, in a restaurant (i think).

Another day, we skipped half of the accounting class to go Red Box. My first time to Red Box actually. Have always thought it's expensive to sing there but it's actually quite okay. RM23 with free buffet lunch and 4 hours of singing. We all came out of the room hardly can breathe.

Despite the fresh prawns i love at the buffet, i still prefer Neway at Time Square though. Red Box has no Chinese songs and Japanese songs which is not very entertaining for a Chinese and a Japanese fan like me.

Irah kept on singing her Korean songs until we get sulky.

I have always been a picky gadget buyer. I spent months searching the internet and asking opinions before decided to buy HP Pavillion dv2 and hours in Lowyat Mall before decided Blackberry Curve is the one i want.

Friends who accompany me during the whole process of buying a gadget had almost punch me on the face for being so ma fan. I think my fastest gadget purchase probably is Ipod Shuffle.

I dare not say i like photography but i do enjoy capturing pictures. I always shoot will my Lumix. The idea of buying a better camera, or a dslr, only came after i read National Geography. Amateur like me, i'm not really sure if i deserve a dslr.

Even if i have decided to buy a dslr, i will have a hard time explaining to my dad why i needed 2000 ringgit for a mere camera.

Maybe will try after i get my Sem 3 result. :D

If you've read my cny post, you should have known that i'm getting fatter and fatter! Things didn't get any better over these months. And i still weigh 45kg, which is too much for people this short like me. :(

So, to prevent me from becoming a meatball next cny and to make myself look more flattering in dresses, i've come up with a plan - All-Fruit-and-Vege Diet.

We (me and Char) basically eat nothing but vegetables and fruits. No more Tom Yam, no more McChicken combo set. For a month.

Ne, if you're my friends, you should have known that i'm so into Japanese stuff. Japanese food, japanese drama, japanese fashion, japanese culture, and oh! Japanese guys as well. :D

But, you know, it's not easy to find japanese guys here in KL, let alone get to know them more and become friends but hey, i met one during my part time job. Omg! Japanese leh, speak japanese one. Though he is kinda short but still wow. I have always looked at him like he's some rare animals in zoo.

Part time job ended and i have totally forgot about him until one Saturday i decided that i couldn't start my Econs coursework if i hadn't eaten Unagi Don from Sushi Zanmai. So off Stef and i went to The Gardens for some Unagi.

After had our stomach full of Unagi, we got nothing better to do than to sit on the couch to talk and wait until we were hungry again. Then i saw Mr. Japanese passed by, hand on his friend's shoulder.

Out of boredom, or rather, curiosity, we followed them at the back (yes, we stalked them) and he kept his hand's position walking from from North Court to South Court. I thought they were just being playful, until i asked jokingly, "Erm, are they gay?"

Hahahaha, we laughed.

...and stopped when we saw them, from far, holding hands.

HEH??? REALLY A GAY LOU?

But well, we stood about 7m away with lots of people passing by, so we cannot confirm that we really saw them holding hands. But from the view of 7m away? Yes, they were holding hands.

We continued follow them from the back. They went into Bata. We waited outside. After a few moments of me and Stef staring at each other speechless , we saw Mr. Japanese came out, with his hands on his friend's waist.

Then hand on the friend's shoulder again. That's when i decided i have no eye to see.

Erm, do you guys really touch your guy friend here and there during shopping ah? Or maybe the friend was sad so the touching was somehow like a comfort to him? Or maybe this is some japanese culture? I dunno la. I just thought hey-u-know-the-guy-i-once-had-a-crush-on-is-gay-lou-leh story would be entertaining.

Goodbye, Nottingham

I have never really liked my high school life, despite the most awesome classmates i have ever had, my high school life is basically about never getting homework done and having dumbass head prefect report me to guru discipline for sleeping in class.

Yes, indeed. I am never a good student, nor anything near there. All i need is 5 credit in SPM to enable me to enroll at most colleges and universities in Malaysia. What for i'm gonna study my ass off just to get an extra A? Can eat ah? (No, never consider scholarship)

Until I came to Nottingham University study exhibition desk at Sandakan Hotel. I knew i wanted to go there, so did Stef. So we planned to enroll at the this uni together. But five b4 and A2 in English in SPM was their minimum requirement for foundation. That's when i started studying, for 10 subjects, in a month.

SPM result out and sure, my result was good enough to get into Nottingham's foundation. But i have also realized that Nottingham charges higher tuition fees, RM35,000 a year, which is not exactly a small amount to me. I wouldn't want to burden my father with my own stubborn preference for school.

Giving up my dream school, i started to search for other colleges. Swinburne, UTAR, KDU, Inti, ...

At the end, i enrolled at SEGi's Foundation in Commerce for their PTPTN loan covers all tuition fees from foundation until final year and they also offer degree programme of University of Greenwich (UK).

But i have always secretly envied Stef who can go Nott for her Engineering. So i voiced my thoughts out. After lots of discussion and given a yes from my dad. I was finally a pre-Nottingham student!

Happiness did not last long.

Just then when i was so excited about Nott, i found out that some schools do include ACCA papers in their degree. Student graduated just need to finish the rest of the ACCA. So i emailed Nottingham asking if their degree offers the same thing as well.

Answer : No.

Frustrated, i knew i can't go Nott Uni already. It's not like i'm gonna pay a higher fees and still have to finish 14 paper of ACCA after graduate. This is stupid. Very stupid.

This morning, i found out that the school i'm attending, SEGi (University of Greenwich), does include 9 ACCA paper in their Accounting & Finance.

Now all i have to do is continue what i am doing, then i will complete 9 ACCA papers and all CIMA papers after i graduate my degree.

So goodbye, Nottingham, mistake i've almost committed. :)

I was so excited, especially when i'm so obsessed with Fujiwara after re-watching the Death Note live action and anime recently.

The movie is ok la. I wish it can be longer. The most exciting part is watching them walking on the narrow beam to the other building, probably 5m away, 22 stories above the ground. But there's too much talking, considering they are 200 metres above ground! On a beam! The games played in Kaiji is nothing compare to those in Liar Game. I can almost guess what strategy they're using in the games in Kaiji.

We just love the eight. Fatt ah!

With new semester starting and with no coursework given (yet), i have decided to spend a weekend at the Nottingham. Here i am, posting this in the TCR. Well, i don't know what TCR starts for. You can't blame me, not even Stef knows! haha

Stef is sitting beside me. Playing games for her assignment. Watching her playing games is suffering for me. For hundreds time i want to take over her mouse and play it for her.

My life is so dull that i find nothing to blog about. Not even a nuisance. How sad. So i have decided to blog about, erm, yesterday?

Yesterday went to Midvalley. With the Nottinghammers. Wanna watch Alice at first, but can't. Because one single bloody ticket costs RM40. Utterly siao one. So watched a comedy instead with Ronald Cheng as the lead. It was raining bit on the way back. Went back. Showered. Slept at 3am like that. ( early, how nice.)

How many lizard can you find in this picture? Answer at the end of this post.

When my housemate will screams and kills any lizard that falls into her eyesight, i am living peacefully with two. One is darker, another one is fairer.

They will chase each other in between the boxes i have to put biscuits and books and also chat at late night which somehow is my companion during sleepless nights.Well, i don't hate lizards despite the number of times a lizard had fallen on my head, but that does not means i love them too.

It turns into a nuisance when i found black and white faeces on my cupboard or them provoking my housemate when they decide to go out for a walk.

Whatever we three feel, we still survived with each other around but, Oi! At least pay your rent la. Need me to clean your shit somemore, like your maid. Hmph.

p/s: Sorry, no picture of them. It's not like you can capture a lizard in your room the moment you took out your camera.

So i guess the 3-posts-a-week plan is a total failure with the arrival of exams and assignments for both Stef and me. Look at my Blog Achieve, the best i can do is 10 posts a month which is, pathetic.

With my semester break starts today so make no excuse, i'm sticking back to the plan again. I mean, why not? since all my friends are busy with their studies and i have too much of time to be idled away till i can buy lunch without taking a lift from 11th floor.

The only things i'm planning to do is sleeping 13 hours a day to restore my chakra to welcome my final semester of foundation and curling up on my bed reading some good books like, Pride and Prejudice and Jane Erye or the ~~boring~~ Norwegian Wood.

Oh! And catching up on the Naruto episodes when all my housemates are gone for their trips. The line will be all mine!

So all the hard hard papers is finally over.

The 2 days continuous exam has granted me a sore throat and a running nose. ( Ok la, it's actually because of too much of Tom Yam but it makes me sound hardworking ma. )

But this few days were really hell to me. 4 important paper in 2 days! Econs 1 ( didn't take last sem, i was sick. Fever. ) and Accounting 2 on Sat, Econs 2 and Moral on Sun. i can forgive the Econs 1 la. But after Accounting is Econs?? Econs and Moral somemore.

Who is the dumbo who set the scedule? Who? Who?!

I will go find the dumbo out and break his/her neck.

Despite the difficulties i have been though on the first day of cny, i still have a tiring cny like every year. Like everyone, i went to open houses, gave angpau to fake lion, being disturbed by the sound of firecrackers at 2am and all.

What i'm happy about this year is that i have received compliments like i never did, saying i've grown mature, prettier, fairer and ....... fatter. Nah, it's not like i am not aware of this. I know it when my form 5 two sizes too big jeans has become my skinny jeans now. I just don't know if i should be happy or unhappy. Happy : I'm on my way to become a lady, not a straight cut little girl anymore. Unhappy : I'm fat! I don't want end up looking a meatball on next cny. :(

After i booked my flight to be back to my hometown for Chinese New Year last minute, i have been choosing my meals seriously and drinking a lot of water in order to have perfect complexion during CNY. But the sleepless night i spent at the KLIA before taking off have completely spoiled my plan!

Now i have to depend on good sunlight to get myself a smoother face. Argh!

A Companion

Ever since i was little, i know i never had enough of love and responsibility to own a pet. All i ever had was some longkang fishes my friend caught for me back then and i even had them killed after two weeks. How sad it was considering that those longkang fishes did not die living in those dirty longkang but found dead in the ice cream box i provided for them. After this, i stopped having any pets for their own sake.

However, the idea of having a pet came to me again when i heard a lot of pets story from my friends of them playing hide and seek with their cats, pouring their secrets to them and having a something to cuddle when down. Plus, with the situation that i'm not getting any boyfriend soon, i need a pet, seriously.

My first idea, dog.

I mean, who doesn't like dog right? Kinda love dog with curly fur like bear bear (picture above). Or I might perhaps get one looks like Mizushima's.

Ugly? I know.

But dogs are kinda troublesome. You have to bath them, feed them, buy them toys and even clean their shit if they are not trained well and they bark! So, dogs cannot. I need pet to be independent enough to survive. Hmm... cats!

Cats are so awesome. They will search for food when none given, they will clean their bodies with their own tongue and they even bury their own shit in their garden. I can also get a free cat from Stef somemore. How nice!

How sweet it is to have cat slept on your smelly Converse. Haha

But the fact that i cannot stay with a cat for long is also undeniable, ever since a cat tried to rob my Pau when i was 9. Cats are also bad tempered at times and cat meows! Again, cats cannot.

After lots of consideration, i have decided bunny is my best option! Bunny is small enough for keeping but big enough to be cuddled (unlike a hamster). Bunny are so gentle and eat their own shit. So good. And most importantly, bunny does not make any sound at all. Perfect!

I will definitely choose a brown bunny for it looks like the kind of rabbit that would appears in fairy tales.

One thing i know i should not have as pet is.....

So the girls have decided that they had not enough of bbq on 16th Jan, so they went back to the same restaurant for more.

School holiday has officially started after my Econs replacement class this morning. Now I'm here to present my 2nd post of the week, (erm.. of last week actually) with my Ice blended Durian! to keep myself awake.

Ok la. I know it somehow looks like shit in the above picture but it's really nice ok and most importantly, it's durian flavoured! I've always pampered myself a cup of this thing after finish doing coursework in 2 days or after dealing with those unreasonable people.

Dull alone can implicate my life recently. My life is so dull that the only interesting part is that i just found out that McD's breakfast set is actually so nice. Considering that McChicken has always been my choice (minus the times when Stef ordered me Spicy Deluxe), the breakfast set is so fresh!

Chinese New Year is finally arriving and i'm so excited about the overnight at airport and outings! So i can blog more and will not be fined for RM10.

P/S : i think i will get a RM20 saman from Stef in these two days and the post title is for attracting attention purposes.

With coursework season ending, i found myself checking every cute bento (lunch box) i can search in Google and browsing PPS menu to make myself feel sleepy though i am aware that my exam is approaching at a fast pace and i have not start any revision... yet.

So i decided to stick some colourful post-it everywhere in my room to kick myself to study. It's not like they do any good to me anyway but at least i have some photos to post on blog right?

Chinese new year is arriving and it's almost the Mosque's morning prayer time and i'm still finding hard to have my eyes closed for 5 minutes.

Norwegian Wood is headed to Big Screen... with Kiko?

Murakami Haruki's novel, Norwegian Wood is going movie with Matsuyama Kenichi and Mizuhara Kiko!

I was so thrilled that it is Norwegian Wood of Haruki Murakami because it is the only Murakami book i've ever bought and Kiko is the only model i adore.

Here is the official synopsis,

“I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me.”

The melancholy tune and sentiment of this classic Beatles song seems to have taken the life of Toru Watanabe (Kenichi Matsuyama), who is similarly uncertain as to how he should view his relationships. At heart, a quiet and serious young Tokyo college student in 1969, Watanabe, is deeply devoted to his first love, Naoko (Rinko Kikuchi), a beautiful and introspective young woman. Third Day of Working

It was like a God's will to have me came to the wrong shift today. My shift should be started at 2pm but i reached there 9am. So now, I have extra 4 hours to finish half of my coursework in the quiet room.

Why isn't anybody inform me there's change of shift ah? Aiyo.

I really enjoy writing here. With the table and the scent of coffee in the room.

While i am dying to have a poster of Japanese artistes like, Arashi or Yamashita Tomohisa or Mizushima Hiro or Kat-Tun (Kat-Tun also ok la) to stick on my room's wall, they used Kat-Tun posters to wrap their dining table.

I could not assert that my choosing Accounting over Engineering is becoming for me even after college has started 3 days.

I clearly know the reason why Accounting is my alternative choice. The vacancies for Accountant is Sdk or KK, the salary which can afford me to have LV Bags, life without insipidity and it is also a popular sentiment that Accountants will never end up unemployed.

Yet i was engrossed by the thoughts of What If.

Just when you are undecided and friends around you couldn't offer you anything, all you have to do is pick up your phone and dial your daddy's number. :)

Hair is getting longer.

Ever since i booked my flight ticket to KL, i knew i will end up wearing contact lens everyday here while i'm too coward to do it in Sandakan with the small eyes i have. Hah.

" Your daughter's eyes ah, are very hard to get short-sightedness one. I think she really worked hard to make them do now. " I still remember the first thing the specialist told my father at Ping Ping Optical when he brought me to check my eyes after i complaint how blur my vision was.

Indeed, i've put a lot of efforts to make myself short-sighted.

I read books in dark, watched television with my nose touches the screen, wore my brother's spectacles while he was taking shower after my friend told me it may harm my eyes if i do just so that my parents would get me one as i got jealous when my brother had one and i did not.

Also, i thought it will make me looked smart when i was studying for my UPSR and it did me nothing but made me a geek. Hah.

The only thing lamer than making myself short-sighted on purpose is regretting it afterward.

I have always needed a feeling of fresh start to push myself to do something good that i'm not keen on doing it, from reading my dictionary to drinking 3 litres of water a day.

So, I made the feeling by changing my mobile number, my email address, buying a new pair of shoes, reading a new book and now, starting a new blog.
